Wealth Creation Takes Time

Eccl. 11: 1-6 (GNT)

Wealth takes time to grow, therefore, learn to use time to your advantage. The principle of compound interest is one of the greatest Mathematical discoveries for wealth creation which works with time. For example, if you save #50, 000.00 annually or #4, 200.00 monthly at 12% rate in an investment portfolio at compound interest for 10 years, you will have #1, 138,021.57. Assuming you started investing the money at age 20, by the time you are 45 years old you will have over N8.3 million in your portfolio and at 60 years you would have #47.7 million, just by allowing compound interest to work on your savings. There are many 45 or 60 years old people who do not have that kind of money in their account. More so, what is the guarantee that you will have that amount in your account by that age without proper financial planning? This same principle is true for business owners who re-invested their profits back into the business and the person who buys land and properties and leaves it to appreciate in value.  2 Cor. 9:10 says it is the same God who supplies seed to sower and bread to the eater. It is sad that we have too many eaters than sowers. Wisdom is discerning if the money in your hand is seed or bread. Anyone who is not willing to delay enjoyment or gratification cannot end up wealthy. There is no shortcut; wealth creation takes time and effort. It is advisable to start early but it is also never too late to start now.

POINT OF EMPHASIS: It takes setting a goal, proper planning and persistent patience to create wealth.

PRAYER POINT: O Lord, help me to be patient and purposeful so that I will not miss your plan to bless me.
