DAILY BIBLE READING
Love The Gospel More Than Food
Job 23:1-12
In one of Job’s responses to the accusation his friends levelled against him, he declared his innocence. He said that God himself knew the steps or ways he was taking, his foot held fast to God’s steps, Job kept God’s way and did not turn aside. Above all, he did not depart from God’s commandment but rather treasured the word of God more than physical food (verse 12). This should be the attitude of all Christians towards the gospel. We must love the gospel more than our conveniences. We should always rejoice and be active when it comes to telling others about Christ. Make it a daily duty to lead someone to Jesus through the gospel.
Point of Emphasis: Treasured people’s souls to be saved more than material things.
Prayer Point: Lord, help me to love preaching the gospel with all I have more than any earthly thing.
