Let The Peace Of God Rule Your Heart

Phil. 4:1-7

The Bible enjoins us to be peacemakers in order to show ourselves as sons of God. We are surrounded with so many things that can rob us of our peace – economic and financial problems, health challenges, insecurity in the community where we live or work, marital problems, quarrels with relatives, etc. Regrets brought about by past mistakes or worries about the future can also rob us of our peace. Jesus says “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls” (Matt. 11: 29). We worry and are tormented because we refuse to take His yoke; we prefer to follow our own paths. Blessings abound for those who allow the peace of God to rule them and allow it to be their priority.

POINT OF EMPHASIS: Do not doubt or disobey God; allow His peace to rule your heart.

PRAYER POINT: Father let Your peace which surpasses all understanding rule my heart in Jesus’ name.
