Christ, The Only Agent Of The Relationship

Jn. 3:14-18

Since man’s relationship with God was marred by the sin of Adam and Eve, the harmonious relationship between God and the human race was lost because of the disobedience of our progenitors. We were completely separated from God. In Genesis 3:15, God made an implicit promise of redemption through the seed of the woman. Isaiah 7:14 made prediction of a virgin giving birth to a Deliverer who will save His people from their sins. Though the immediate fulfilment of the sign was to a new bride who will be a virgin until her marriage but the ultimate fulfilment was through Jesus Christ. God demonstrated His love for man’s redemption through the only begotten Son which He gave to the whole world (Jn. 3:16). This is the only way or means through which the relationship between God and man was restored. Jesus is the only agent of true relationship with God. Anyone who wishes to enjoy supernatural relationship in this world must receive free salvation through Jesus Christ. Jesus is the reason for the moment. To believe in Him, you must take these basic steps: (i) Have a sure conviction that Jesus Christ is God’s Son (Rom. 8:32), confess, forsake your sins and accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour then decide to be obedient and have fellowship with Him. Seize this opportunity to do this, and if you have gone through this process before, continue steadfastly with Jesus.

Point of Emphasis: Jesus Christ is God’s Son and the sole agent for ultimate relationship between God and man.

Prayer Point: Lord Jesus, I receive grace to have and maintain true relationship with You here and in eternity.
