God Shows Himself Pure To The Pure
Ps. 18:20-27
God declares that man’s righteousness is like filthy rag before Him (Isa. 64:6). Rather than the righteousness worked out by one’s effort as stated by David in his Psalm, God grants righteousness through the atoning death of Jesus. God then demands that the Christian begins to strive to have pure heart in dealing with Him and fellow men. How God interacts with an individual depends on the individual’s attitude to His offer of righteousness. God deals shrewdly with those who spurn His offer and continue their lives with polluted hearts. They may think that they are smart but they are soon caught in their own nets. God reveals Himself as pure and trustworthy to those who have chosen to toe the path of purity. Your experience in your spiritual journey depends on your response to the offer of righteousness which God extends to you.
POINT OF EMPHASIS: To the pure, God will show Himself pure, and to the devious He will show Himself shrewd.
PRAYER POINT: I submit my heart to Your purging, O Lord; let me experience Your presence daily.
