Relationship Including Everyone
Acts 11:19-23
The early disciples focused on witnessing to the Jews. As a result of the persecution which claimed the life of Stephen, the believers scattered all abroad trying to win only the Jews to Christ. Some of the believers however went out of their way to witness to non-Jews who gladly accepted the good news. The leaders of the church sent Barnabas to assess the new believers and were glad of the results. The inter-personal relationship in the church should be all inclusive. No group of people or individual should be excluded or discriminated against. Groups within the church based on ethnic or tribal affiliation should be discountenanced. Groupings within the church which are likely to promote division, should not be allowed either. In Christ all believers should see themselves as one. It is hoped that you are not promoting a cause that can lead to segregation in the church and that you are not sentimental in your interpersonal relation with others
Point of Emphasis: In Jesus Christ, there is no distinction between Jews or Gentiles.
Prayer Point: Father, destroy all those things that cause division within our church and help me also not to be involved in any act that leads to division in the church.
