Haman Slandered the Jews

Esth. 3:2-11

One of the ways the devil attacks Christian is through slander. Slander is the action of making a false spoken statement damaging to a person’s reputation. To discredit Christians, unbelievers spread false statements about them. Often, the slander makes people who believe the falsehood begin to persecute such Christians. In the case of the Jews in exile, Haman told the king that the Jews had different laws and that they did not keep the king’s laws. He was able to convince the king that the Jews should be destroyed. He was even willing to pay the state from his own resources to carry out the destruction of the Jews. The devil will move those who yield themselves as instruments in his hand to slander, persecute and destroy those who hold on to the testimony of Jesus Christ.

POINT OF EMPHASIS: The enemy will spread lies about a believer so as to destroy the believer.

PRAYER POINT: Father, rise to our defence when the enemy raises falsehood against us.
