Admonish As A Brother

2 Thess. 3:6-15

There will always be some members in a congregation whose attitudes and actions would threaten the cordiality and smooth running of the inter-personal relationship existing in the congregation. Such individuals often seek to get sympathy and follower-ship from among other members. Cordiality of the relationship within the members is very important for the congregation to achieve its divine mandate. It is therefore very important that well-meaning members identify unruly persons, admonish them to change their ways, and pray that they be delivered from the deception of Satan. If they refuse to change their ways, the church needs to isolate them and warn other members to not keep company with them. They should not be ostracised however, but be admonished as brothers.

Point of Emphasis: Souls of unruly members of the congregation are precious to God, admonish them as brothers.

Prayer Point: Father, deliver our members from the deception of Satan which makes people walk disorderly.
