Don’t Be Influenced Negatively
Prov. 31:4-5
The advice given in your devotion today is literally for a prince called Lemuel. It is not good for kings to drink wine because doing this can make them forget what they have legislated and change the standard of justice for the oppressed. Christians have been made priests and kings to the Lord. It is not profitable for them to drink or partake in anything that can debase them to do wrong things with their power. Desisting from wine or strong drink will make them strong and effective in doing the appropriate thing. Christians should flee from any influence that can make them act negatively and bring reproach to their calling.
Point of Emphasis: Desisting from wine will make Christians conduct themselves appropriately. Never you involve yourself in taking wine.
Prayer Point: Help me, Lord, to always comport myself in a good manner.
