Responsibility of Members To Leaders

Heb. 13:16-17

A conscientious church leader will be concerned about the spiritual condition of his congregation. He knows that God is going to ask him to give account of the people put under his care. He will like to guide the congregation into a path that will take the members to heaven. He will give instructions and counsel that will make the congregation acceptable to God. However, sometimes the members of the congregation are unwilling to follow the counsel of the leaders. There are situations when members feel their leaders are too strict and are overbearing. Godly counsels are ignored, often resulting in dire consequences. God expects members of the congregation to obey leaders’ instructions that are godly and biblical. Leaders also need to be prayed for so they will not lead the members into ungodly actions.

Point of Emphasis: Obey your spiritual leaders so that they may have joy in their relationship with you.

Prayer Point: God, grant our leaders wisdom so that they may lead us in the way of holiness.
