Mercy Preserves from Judgment
Jam. 2:12-13
One of the blessings of showing mercy to others is that God’s mercy will win out over His judgment towards us. If God’s mercy can prevail over His judgment, how much more the verdicts or judgment the wicked ones might have cast over those who show mercy. These scriptures reveal that showing mercy is a seed planted, which has a due season for harvests. The harvest of mercy is manifested by the annulment of any form of punishment that was due to such who shows mercy. Therefore as believers, we must not be tired or wearied in well doing, even when it looks like it doesn’t pay or our acts of mercy are not recognized. God’s judgment was certain upon the disobedient human race before Jesus brought mercy for the forgiveness of the sins of the people.
POINT OF EMPHASIS: Showing mercy to others is like a seed that is planted and has its season of harvest. Never be tired of sowing the seed of mercy.
PRAYER POINT: As I sow in mercy, every pronounced or written judgment against me is turned around for my good, in the name of Jesus Christ.
