Discipline Is An Act Of God’s Love

Heb. 12:3-11

Some people think of discipline only in the negative sense, whereas discipline has a positive impact upon whom it is administered. As a matter of fact, anyone who does what is wrong and is corrected through discipline, should congratulate himself or herself, because it is an evidence that God still loves him or her and still cares for him or her. There is hope of eternal life for him or her unlike the person whom God had completely abandoned. Therefore, when you do anything that warrants discipline in the church or scolding by parents or higher authority, rejoice because they want the best for you and not otherwise, so as not to get lost.

Point of Emphasis:         Discipline, if endured, will produce fruit of righteousness (v. 11)

Prayer Point:                  Lord, help me to always receive Your correction and discipline with joy.
