Awake From Your Sleep

Eph. 5:1-14

Many Christians have slept spiritually. When a Christian is sleeping spiritually, he or she is like a dog who goes back into its own vomit, starts doing those things which he or she had once confessed and rejected. Those things like fornication, uncleanness, covetousness, foolish talking or coarse jesting which were once abomination to him or her now become things that can be glossed over. But the Bible says people who indulge in such things have no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God (verse 5). Therefore, as you are preparing to meet Jesus when He comes, you have to awake from your spiritual sleep and slumbering and be alive unto God so that Christ may give you life both here on earth and in the eternal kingdom.

Point of Emphasis:          Walk as children of light in all goodness, righteousness and truth.

Prayer Point:                                     Lord, help me to be awake and alive unto spiritual truth and godliness.

TIRE-TOI DE TON SOMMEIL

EPHESIENS 5 :1-14

Plusieurs chrétiens sont spirituellement endormis. Quand un chrétien est spirituellement endormi, il ressemble à un chien qui retourne à ce qu’il a vomi, et se met à faire ces choses qu’il avait une fois confessées et rejetées. Ces choses-là comme la fornication, l’impureté, la convoitise, les paroles désinvoltes, les plaisanteries grossières qui jadis étaient pour lui une abomination, deviennent dès lors des choses sur lesquelles il peut passer. Mais la Bible dit que les gens qui font de telles choses n’ont pas d’héritage dans le royaume de Christ et de Dieu (verset 5). Ainsi que tu te prépares à la rencontre de Jésus quand il reviendra, tu dois te tirer de ta somnolence et de ton sommeil spirituel et être vivant pour Dieu afin que Christ puisse te donner la vie à la fois ici-bas et dans le royaume éternel.

Point essentiel : Marchez comme des enfants de lumière en toute bonté, justice et vérité.

Axe de prière : Seigneur, aide-moi à m’éveiller et à être vivant pour la piété et la vérité spirituelle.
