DAILY DEVOTIONAL READING
Fri. 29/1/2015
A Chosen Vessel
Acts 9: 10-19
Paul’s conversion immediately attracted cynicisms and doubts especially among the Christian community who had witnessed or heard of his exploits against the preaching of Jesus Christ as the only Saviour of mankind. From today’s devotional reading, it’s obvious that no one is too terrible or sinful for God to convert and use. God earnestly looks forward to the conversion of every soul He has created. God’s assignment for Paul was clear; he was to proclaim the name of the Lord before the gentiles and the Jews likewise. Similarly, every child of God is chosen to fulfil certain mandate in world evangelisation and in the edification of the body of Christ.
Point of Emphasis: For I will show him how much he will suffer for my name sake among the gentile.
Prayer Point: Oh Lord, help me to discover your mandate for my life and grant me the grace to fulfil it.
