Trade To Make A Profit
Matt. 25:16; 1 Pet. 4: 10
In the book of Genesis, God placed Adam in the garden to work in it and take care of it with a view to reproducing after its kind. We were made to work and produce enduring Christian fruits. As Christians we have a mission that our Lord expects us to accomplish in the earth here and now. Apostle Peter says in 1 Peter 4:10 ” Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” Far too many Christians today see their salvation as simply a bus ticket to heaven. They believe it doesn’t matter what they do while they wait for the bus. The Parable of the Talents teaches us what we are supposed to do while we await the return of our King. We are to work, using our talents to glorify God, serve the common good, and further God’s kingdom. Biblical success is working diligently in the here and now using all the talents God has given us to produce the return expected by the Master.
Point of Emphasis: As Christians we have a mission that our Lord expects us to accomplish in the here and now.
Prayer Point: Lord Jesus, open my eyes to my divine assignment and give me the grace to accomplish them.
