Fruit Of The Holy Spirit
Gal. 5:16-25
The immature Christian finds himself still struggling against carnal behaviour – the works of the flesh – adultery, fornication, jealousies, anger etc. When he is baptised in the Holy Spirit, his life is taken over by the Spirit. The struggle may not be immediately overcome but the intensity begins to reduce. The presence of the Holy Spirit in his life brings forth the fruit which has the nine components – love, joy, peace, long-suffering, self-control etc. In the absence of the Holy Spirit, there may appear to be some resemblance of the fruit but this resemblance does not last. The joy of the mature Christian rooted in the Holy Spirit does not depend on the circumstances the Christian finds himself in. In all situations, either stormy or calm, his peace is intact. He is patient and long-suffering, able to control himself and good to others around him.
Point of Emphasis: The counterfeit fruit does not have the same sweetness or impact.
Prayer Point: Holy Spirit, bring forth in me Your fruit in abundance in Jesus’ name.

LE FRUIT DU SAINT-ESPRIT
GALATES 5 :16-25
Le chrétien immature se retrouve lui-même en train de lutter contre le comportement charnel – les œuvres de la chair – l’impudicité, l’impureté, les jalousies, la colère, etc. Quand il est baptisé du Saint-Esprit, sa vie est dominée par le Saint-Esprit. Le combat peut ne pas être immédiatement gagné mais son intensité commence à se réduire. La présence du Saint-Esprit produit le fruit qui a les neuf composants – l’amour, la joie, la paix, la patience, la maîtrise de soi, etc. A l’absence du Saint-Esprit, il peut sembler avoir quelque ressemblance du fruit mais cette ressemblance n’est pas durable. La joie du chrétien mûr enracinée dans le Saint-Esprit ne dépend pas de la circonstance dans laquelle le chrétien se trouve lui-même. Dans toutes situations, soit calme ou orageuse, sa paix est intacte. Il est patient et capable de se contrôler lui-même et de rester bon envers ceux qui sont autour de lui.
Point essentiel : Le faux fruit n’a pas le même goût et impact.
Axe de prière : Saint-Esprit, produis en moi ton fruit en abondance au nom de Jésus.
