DAILY BIBLE READING
They Went Everywhere Preaching
Acts 8:1-8
At a point in the early church there arose persecution against Christians. It was so intense that disciples scattered everywhere so as to preserve their lives. Humanly speaking, one would think that an end has come to the preaching of the gospel by the apostle. But the Bible says as the people were running away for their dear lives, they were still preaching the good news about Jesus. The gospel message was spreading like wildfire. What a people! What committed souls to the cause of the gospel! Note that these people were not officially ordained to preach. They were “common” Christians who were scattered by persecution. You and I need to emulate this people by carrying the gospel to everywhere we go.
Point of Emphasis: Preach the gospel when it is convenient and when it is not convenient.
Prayer Point: Give me the grace to preach the gospel in season and out of season.
