Do Not Judge Or Criticise
Matt. 7:1-5
The scriptural text of today implores us to conduct ourselves in reference to the fault of others; some people are not good at doing any other thing than condemn, criticize and judge others while justifying themselves and they are not magistrates licensed for such! They never see the good in whatever anybody does. We must first judge ourselves, judge our own acts and make sure that on a daily basis we are in right standing with God. We are not allowed to speak evil of our brother or utter words out of jealousy and despise. We must not judge uncharitably, unmercifully, nor with a spirit of revenge, and a desire to do mischief. We must not judge the heart of others nor their intentions nor their eternal state because we are neither the Creator nor the Saviour! We must not call people reprobates, and castaways; that is stretching beyond our line. What we have to do is so simple; counsel, help, encourage with godly thoughts and words that can be used of the Holy Spirit to produce a life change but do not judge.
Point Of Emphasis: Let us learn to be severe in judging ourselves, but charitable in our judgments of other people.
Prayer Points: May the Holy Spirit grant me the grace to live right and not judge others.
