Evangelise With Authority
Mk. 3:13-15, 20-27
The purpose of Jesus’ coming to Earth is to destroy the work of Satan, and deliver those that are under his bondage. Jesus gave the power to His glorious church to continue to exercise authority over the forces of darkness. In our text today, the disciples were not to go out to preach the gospel only, they were given authority to exercise power over the kingdom of darkness (verses 13-15). Like the twelve disciples, members of Christ’s glorious church are mandated to defeat Satan and his demonic agents – bind the strongman, spoil his house and set free those who he had enslaved. You must rise up to declare war against Satan and his agents according to God’s purpose (Lk. 4:14-19). Intensify your prayer and work of evangelism to destroy his weapon of operations.
Point of Emphasis: Rise up to declare war against Satan and his agents by making effective use of your authority.
Prayer Point: I declare war against devil and his agents through my evangelistic outreach. I set those who are under the bondage of Satan free in Jesus’ name (Amen).
