Evangelise Without Argument
Matt. 10:5-14
When the use of a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable. Believer must know the purpose of evangelism. The Lord designed evangelism to reconcile people to Himself. The means of doing this is to speak the truth in love. Our loyalty must be above traditions and local assembly. It should be on mutual loyalty and obedience to Christ. Christians are not to use harsh words or argue with the would-be converts. Our attitude should be based on an attempt to resolve spiritual problem and reconcile people with God. We must speak the truth in love. It must not be proclaimed by human effort or reasoning. Holy Spirit must be given room to perform His operation in the lives of our hearers. Don’t use force or resort to argument. Sow the seed of evangelism with meekness and allow the Holy Spirit to complete the operation. In your evangelism outreach, give yourself to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Don’t resolve to the dictate of the flesh to argue with the person you are preaching to. It has no fruitful result. Like the twelve disciples, Jesus is sending us out. We must obey His command.
Point of Emphasis: Vain words are not profitable in the kingdom. Don’t argue in your evangelism outreach.
Prayer Point: Lord, give me what it takes to disseminate Your word productively without arguments.
