Relationship Between True Believers
1 Pet. 3:8-12
God has called every Christian to become part of one family. Each member of the family relates with other members frequently. No member is an island by himself/herself. For the relationship between family members to be smooth, there are some basic guidelines. There has to be love and brotherly affection between the family members. There has to be mutual respect, honour and understanding. The structure of the family is threatened when members begin to demonstrate the attitude and character of unbelievers. A member of the church can offend another member, if both are genuine Christians under the control of the Holy Spirit. Taking revenge will not be considered. We are called to peace, hence, we should endeavour to be of one mind, having compassion for one another.
Point of Emphasis: All genuine Christians are members of the family of God, hence, the relationship between one another should be cordial.
Prayer Point: Father, by Your mercy bind us together with chords of love that cannot be broken.
