Walk Humbly With God
Mic. 6:6-8
For one to inherit the kingdom of heaven, one must first be counted worthy to be admitted to heaven. Man puts in much effort to make heaven. Not all will eventually make it. Those who will make it are those who follow God’s prescription and not what man thinks is right. The ones that will come to know God’s prescription are those who realise their spiritual poverty and strive to draw close to God to receive mercy. God’s prescription includes walking humbly with Him. As one walks humbly with God, one will learn to do justly in dealing with other people and one will love mercy. These are parts of God’s attributes which will begin to manifest in one’s life. It is true that one walking with God will also participate in the religious activities others engage in, but the activities will not be the basis of assurance of making heaven.
POINT OF EMPHASIS: He has shown you, O man, what is good – walk humbly with your God.
PRAYER POINT: Holy Spirit, please cover my spiritual nakedness.
