Roads That Lead Nowhere
Acts 4:5-12
The fall of man left him an orphan with no relationship and fellowship with God as he was sent out of grace to disgrace. God being a loving Father pitied man’s fate and, therefore, adopted many measures by which man might be restored back into fellowship and relationship with Him. God adopted measures by which man might be restored – He first used the law and later the prophets including other means which failed. Religion is man’s effort to reach God – the fallen nature made man incapable to live up to the demands of fellowship and relationship with God because the power over the flesh is lost. Man’s effort has led to the springing up of so many religions and modes of worship but there still remains a vaccum in man crying for occupation apart from many religions, man has made many alternative road to God. All other roads apart from Jesus lead to hell.
Point of Emphasis: Religion is man’s effort to reach God and it is inadequate to secure a relationship with God.
Prayer Point: Help me oh God to know how to travel on the right path so as to end at the right destination.
