Sow For Yourself Righteousness
Hos. 10:12-15
A sober look at the state of affairs in every human society will reveal that the human society is in a sorry state. Man has rejected the commandments of God and has sown for himself wickedness. Man has sown the wind of sin and is reaping the whirlwind of sorrow, heartache, frustration, failure, etc. God is calling man back to Himself; admonishing man to sow for himself righteousness. To sow and to have a desirable harvest, it is imperative to first break the fallow ground of one’s life – dig out the stones of sin and ungodliness. It is unreasonable to want to hold on to sin and expect God’s approval. When a man forsakes sin and strives to live righteously, he sows for himself righteousness. The man is guaranteed the harvest of mercy – mercy in the sight of man and God.
POINT OF EMPHASIS: Sow for yourself righteousness and reap mercy.
PRAYER POINT: I throw away the garment of wickedness; I put on the garment of righteousness. Grant me the harvest of mercy, O God.
