Live Soberly, Righteously
Tit. 2:11-15
What kind of lifestyle should a born-again Christian live? He has been given the grace that grants salvation; cleansed by the blood of Jesus. God expects His saved children to learn to shun ungodliness, hate wickedness and to love righteousness. We live in an age in which man has thrown off all restraint, lives an irreligious lifestyle, hates what is godly and is deep in worldly lusts. Whoever wants to be righteous is treated as an outcast. The righteous values his being in right relationship with God more than being acceptable to the world around him. He looks forward for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of Jesus Christ; having the assurance to reign with Him in His kingdom. His ardent desire is to please the Savior who loves him so much that He gave His life.
POINT OF EMPHASIS: We should live soberly, righteously and godly in the present age.
PRAYER POINT: I reject ungodliness and worldly lust, my garment of righteousness shall not be soiled in Jesus’ name.
