You can Do More
Jn. 14:12-18
Our text this morning shows the desire of Jesus for His disciples in His glorious church. Sometimes we marvel at the great promises of God. Jesus assures His church that they cannot only do what He does but will even do more. When we hear certain testimonies of what God is doing in church services, crusade grounds or in the lives of believers, we marvel. There is no limit to what God can do! Equally there is no limit to what believers can do through the power of the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus. One important key is that we must ask for what we want in His name. Even though He knows all our needs, it is still required of us to ask. He instructs you “ask, and it will be given to you; seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened to you” (Matt. 7:7). We can ask for more; God is able to give more than we can ever ask (Eph. 3:20). If Jesus healed, cast out demons, raised the dead, calmed storms, fed the hungry, restored sight to the blind, and many more, then you can do it also. You must show your love to Jesus by keeping His commandment (verse 15). The Lord Jesus has prayed for you to have the Holy Spirit. Get Him for your own manifestation.
Point of Emphasis: Let us use the authority given to us by Jesus to do more.
Prayer Point: Lord, please help me to do more for Your kingdom.
