Wisdom Required
Prov. 4:5-8
‘Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom, in all thy gettings, get understanding’. Prov. 4:7. Wisdom is important in every area of life- decision making, relationship with man and God, leadership etc. Solomon knew the importance of wisdom in ruling the great nation of Israel. He wanted to succeed like his father David, hence, he asked for wisdom from God to rule His people. God granted his request and gave him wisdom with which he judged the people and his fame spread throughout the nations. For anyone to succeed in life he must be able to apply wisdom in everything he does. In daily activities, business, dealing with people at home or at work, wisdom is required. God is the source of wisdom and anyone who desires wisdom must go to Him in prayer. Just like Solomon, wisdom must be prioritized. Solomon’s wisdom was from God. His judgment was based on wisdom and was without partiality. You can also embrace wisdom, giving right judgment and taking right decisions with the leadership of God.
Point of Emphasis: Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom.
Prayer Point: LORD, give me wisdom and understanding. Help me to make right decisions and give right judgment.
