Do This In Remembrance of Me

Lk. 22:15-20

There are many observances in the Church today which, though may be seen to have been done by Jesus but which Jesus didn’t command that they should be done. One example is “feet washing”, where we saw Jesus washing the feet of the disciples. We also read of the birth of Jesus in the Bible but Jesus did not command that the disciples should be celebrating His birthday. But when He inaugurated the Lord’s Supper, He commanded the disciples to be doing it in remembrance of Him. This means any believer who does not attach importance to the Lord’s Supper is disobeying the Lord’s command and is not likely to be putting the Lord before him or her in all that he or she does.

Point of Emphasis:        Participate in the Lord’s Supper so as not to forget Jesus.

Prayer Point:            Lord, help me to put You always before me as I participate in the Lord’s Supper.

FAITES CECI EN MA MEMOIRE

LUC 22 :15-20                                     

Il y a de nos jours beaucoup d’observances dans l’église lesquelles nous considérons comme étant déjà accomplies par Jésus mais lesquelles il n’avait pas ordonnées de faire. Un de ces exemples est ‘le lavage des pieds’ où nous avons vu Jésus laver les pieds à ses disciples. Nous avons aussi lu concernant la naissance de Jésus dans la Bible mais il n’avait pas ordonné aux disciples de célébrer son anniversaire. Mais quand il inaugura le repas du Seigneur, il ordonna aux disciples de le faire en sa mémoire. Ceci veut dire que n’importe quel croyant qui n’attache pas d’importance au repas du Seigneur désobéit à l’ordre de l’Eternel et il est probable qu’il ne place pas l’Eternel devant lui dans tout ce qu’il/elle fait.

Point essentiel : Participe au repas du Seigneur afin de ne pas oublier Jésus.

Axe de prière : Seigneur, aide-moi à te mettre toujours devant moi comme que je participe au repas du Seigneur.
