Prophecy About The Birth Of The Saviour

Isa. 9:1-7

In today’s passage, Isaiah spoke of the coming Deliverer who will effect the changes in the nation of which the prophet had been speaking. The Messiah’s coming will lead the nation into joy and prosperity, which had been lacking for years. His coming will fulfil the promises to Abraham and David about the prosperous kingdom. He would be born as a child and would grow up to be the Deliverer. His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and the Prince of peace. Among all the Deliverers that God had sent into the world, only Jesus Christ fulfilled this prophecy. He is the only one that can give light to those in darkness, peace to the troubled souls, perform miracles and wonders in people’s lives and He will reign forever and ever. Have you accepted this Saviour into your life?

Point of Emphasis:          Through Jesus, those who walked in darkness and dwelt in shadow of death have seen great light.

Prayer Point:                                     Jesus I need Your peace, light and miracles, give them to me.
