Be Alive In Christ

Rev. 3:1-5; Jn. 3:9

One who is alive in Christ is dead to sin and sin doesn’t have dominion over him or her. Being alive in Christ means sin has been put under subjection and one is not controlled by it any longer. The church at Sardis was considered alive physically but dead spiritually. They had left the things they cherished first when they believed i.e. fellowshipping together, dissecting and digesting God’s word, praying through, evangelism, bearing other’s burden, etc. All these afore-mentioned reduced gradually but they claim to be part of God’s family but the power of God as of old had left them. This trend is prevalent today. Some are involved in demonic manipulations and materialistic pre-occupations, and they still claim they are alive in Christ. The fire is no more burning like when they first believed. There is a need to pray for mercy, freshness of the Holy Spirit fire, that is unquenchable, power to thirst for Him, etc.

Point of Emphasis: Be alive in Him and be dead to sin.

Prayer Point: Lord, help me to get rid of all distractions around me and stay focused on You.
