Employer Relating To Employees
Col. 4:1-6
An employer of labour who has given his life to Christ will likely have both born-again and unbelieving employees. The believing employer should relate to all manners of employees with fairness. He should be fair in the wages he pays; not using his employees as slaves without rights. He should be fair when he has to deal with erring employees; not showing any form of partiality. He should be gentle, but firm maintaining good discipline and work ethics. He should also be fair in the hours of work demanded from his employees. In being thus fair, he acknowledges that he also has a Master in heaven and serves as example to the unbelievers. We have seen believing employers who do not allow their employees to go to church on Sundays because their business ventures must be open during the worship hours.
Point of Emphasis: The Christian employer should be fair to his employees knowing that he has a Master in heaven.
Prayer Point: Father, raise up many God-fearing employers in our midst.
