The Essence of Man Being Created In God’s Image

Gen. 1:26-28

The Almighty God, after creating everything in the first five days of creation, discovered that something was missing in all He had created, which was the ability of trees and animals to relate with Him. He therefore decided to create man in His own image and after His likeness so that they would be able to relate with Him. God intends that man should represent Him on earth. The reason why you were not created as a tree or an animal is for you to establish an interpersonal relationship with God by surrendering your life to Him through Jesus and worshipping Him with all that He has given to you. It is a pity that many have not discovered this essence of their being created in God’s image even as they live contrary to God’s will. You need to decide to establish a genuine relationship with God today if you have not done so before.

Point of Emphasis: You were created in God’s image and likeness in order to establish a relationship with Him.

Prayer Point: Lord, help me to fulfill the reason behind my creation through serving You all my days.
