Wake Up
Isa. 52:1-12
Isaiah envisaged the time when God would restore His exiled people for His name sake and when Jerusalem will be rebuilt. He encouraged them to put on their strength and beautiful garments because their ill experience is over. The unchanging God affirmed that it is Him who redeemed them, and they should therefore stand to proclaim the release to the captives. This foreshadows the announcement through the coming Messiah. The focus of the proclaimed Messiah is “Thy God reigneth”. Let people know that your God reigns, moreso that His coming is very close.
Point of Emphasis: Awake, awake, put on thy strength, O Zion, put on thy beautiful garments.
Prayer Point: Help me to be awake and break the fallow ground so that I can break forth into joy.
