God is At Work
Philippians 2:12-13 (KJV)
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. 13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of [his] good pleasure.
People have different wrong impressions about God. Some think he doesn’t care. Some think he’s slow. Some think he sleeps and slumbers.
Psalm 94:9 (KJV)
He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?
Psalm 121:3 (KJV)
He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
Psalm 121:4 (KJV)
Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
2 Peter 3:9 (KJV)
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
“The Lord is not slow to do what he has promised, as some think. Instead, he is patient with you, because he does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants all to turn away from their sins.”
2 Peter 3:9 GNB. But the God I serve is a miracle working God. He is at work. Every time you pray, God goes to work. Prayer mobilizes God to work. Today, God is at work in your life, Health, situation, circumstances… I don’t care how crazy it is in this world right now, God is at work. He is moving. God is Working in the midst of darkness. Don’t let the darkness and hopelessness around you blindfold you from the move of God’s Spirit. Genesis 1:1-2 (KJV) In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness [was] upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
The same place of darkness, emptiness, gloom and doom is the same place where the Spirit of God was moving. So imagine some people are standing at this scenario. While most are looking at the gloom and doom, few can see the Holy Spirit moving. Some people only see demons in everything. But can you see God working in the midst of the chaos?
2. God is working , even in the midst of death.
Isaiah 6:1-3 (KJV)
In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. 2 Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. 3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, [is] the LORD of hosts: the whole earth [is] full of his glory.
3. God is working in the midst of your loneliness and abandonment. Do you feel lonely, abandoned, and left to die? God is working around you, if only you can see.
Revelation 1:9-13 (KJV)
I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. 10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, 11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send [it] unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. 12 And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; 13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks [one] like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
4. God is at work when you feel let down. Gen.27:30-41; 33:1-11; 32:1-4
Therefore be aware that God moves when you pray. He is at work. See him moving and give him thanks for his move.
Isaiah 30:19 (KJV)
For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: thou shalt weep no more: he will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer thee.
